Had to have a go at this DIY tutorial by A Matter of Style here as love the asymmetric pumps by Zara! Unfortunately the price tag on eBay for these shoes is out of reach for me!
I bought a pair of cheap black courts from Primark and got chopping. Voila!

DIY Leather Clutch
There have been loads of different DIY's on how to construct your own "American Apparel"-esque leather/faux leather clutch like here, here & here, so I won't post all the gory details but here are a few pictures of my latest one!

Pattern Cutting Course
Image: here |
So I decided to do something about it....and enrolled on a Pattern Cutting and Garment Manufacture course at my local college. The aim is for us to create a pattern block for a skirt, bodice and trousers over the next 12 weeks and learn how to change these blocks to allow for design features. So far I am in heaven.
I'll post some pictures as soon as :)
Austique S/S 12
Although the whole collection doesn't appear to have been released for sale online yet I had to post about SS12 by Austique. This is a very limited collection as Austique were a boutique store stocking luxury labels such as Alice & Olivia and Zimmermann but their own brand is expanding.
This season is quite a mix match of a collection with some gorgeous pieces (particularly the sneak peek items!) that would be such an addition to any wardrobe and then what appear to be a substantial amount of plain cashmere knit basics. These stand out pieces in the collection are where I feel Austique should continue to branch with the embellishments, beading and flowing florals however currently as a small selection it certainly doesn't disappoint for this coming season.

DIY Gold Zara sequin clutch
You have probably all seen the gorgeous sequinned Zara clutch that is now sold out in all stores and online.
When I first saw the clutch online I wanted it so much but typically didn't order it at the time and then when I went back they had all gone!
As I simply couldn't live without I decided to make it myself.

Balmain, Balmain
I have to admit it’s all about the detailing. I am a sucker
for intricate beading and embellishments
and I have no shame – I am officially in love with Balmain S/S 2012 collection.
To see the rest of the collection have a look here.

I think a DIY may have to be in order!
